Social parenthood and family substitute

This book examines the role of the spouse of the family assistant and collaborative arrangements that man with the social workers in foster care. It shows that the spouse is a key player in the family home and occupies a role of “social father” youth welcome. His volunteer status, which does not facilitate its positioning vis-à-vis professional foster care is questioned on the basis of his actual involvement in youth interest received in his family. Analysis of collaborative arrangements between spouses of family carers and social workers stressed that this cooperation is based on the willingness of these two actors from the family home to work together. This book is aimed at professionals socio-educational interventions developed in child protection, including social workers from the scope of family substitute and more generally to all the actors involved in this type of support.
