The reform of the child protection (Act of 5 March 2007) , in one of its three axes , advocates alternative care and encourages and out of alternative home-based intervention (AED or AEMO ) / investment (residential or family ) . It is actually experienced by professional devices, sometimes for more than twenty years , which provided the basis for considering a new modalities of intervention : whether it’s day care to prevent the separation of children from their families or the combination of sequential receptions and interventions at home…
In this work it will be to identify the characteristics of these innovative socio-educational provision , identify their interest while indicating difficulties in their implementation. This collective work primarily for professionals in social work consists of three parts. After a presentation of devices and innovative practices in the field of family substitute, it will characterize preventive interventions and alternatives to placement and socio-educational innovations and more particularly a host family day device.
